DNA Connections
It may be possible to confirm family relationships with Thomas by comparing test results with other carriers of his Y-chromosome or his mother's mitochondrial DNA.
However, there are no known yDNA or mtDNA test-takers in his direct paternal or maternal line.
It is likely that these autosomal DNA test-takers will share some percentage of DNA with Thomas:
This Thomas Taylor apparently isn't the son of Gov. John Taylor. Gov. John Taylor married Sarah Chesnut in 1792 or 1793. They were still married when her father wrote his will in 1815. They were still married when Gov. John Taylor died (intestate), as Sarah Taylor, James H. Taylor, and William J. Taylor were granted administration on his estate. His widow, Sarah, never remarried. Her will was proved in 1851, Richland Co., SC, naming children James H. Taylor, Wm. J. Taylor, Alexander R. Taylor, Rebecca A. Brown, Harriet Chesnut Elmore, and Sally C. Rhett.
Sarah can you help me figure out this line William Berry Taylor is my direct line all I see is Berry Taylor on some information, on some census I see Thomas and Pamela, it maybe the 1850 census, I may have other information wrong I will remove the Governor right now and I appreciate your help.
Removed. John Taylor (1770 - 1832)
