Communication Preferences: I am interested in communicating private message with anyone who shares the same ancestors. My family tree is at <https://www.ancestry.com/family-tree/tree/77344470/family?cfpid=30363654669>.
My tree is very much a work in progress so I'm sure I may have some errors. I work on it when I can but haven't had as much time as I would like lately due to some health issues. My brother has done a ydna test and his haplogroup is I-M170. I did a mtdna test and my haplogroup is Hk3. Would love to hear from any of my cousins on either side of my parents trees.

Your cousin, Desiree

I'm the youngest of three children and the only daughter of Arbery Taylor and Virginia Gaspard. Arbery's parents were Rodney Taylor and Julia Richard. Virginia's parents were Clerphe Gaspard and Maggie Haden. My oldest brother and I have both done dna testing with Ancestry and also Family Tree DNA. My hope was to help break down a brick wall of Maggie Haden's mothers family. My grandmothers parents were Alonzo Haden and Maggie Dewitt and they lived in the DeSoto area of Louisiana as well as Kaplan, Louisiana where Alonzo worked for the railroad and was also a rice farmer in Cossinade. Maggie died not long after my grandmother was born in March 1900. We don't know where she was buried or have an exact death date for her but believe she died in Moutons Cove in Louisiana and is possibly buried on private land. Maggie Dewitts parents were William Martin Dewitt and Emmeline Charity Flanagan. I've been able to find information on them both just not a whole lot on Emmeline. They also lived in Louisiana. Once we get to Emmeline's parents the trail stops. I suspect Emmeline's parents were William Flanagan (he's listed on their, Emmeline and Williams, marriage license) and Charity Barron but have not definite proof of that. I had attached them to my tree here in hopes of coming across anyone who is related to them and possibly me. Out of 10 children only my uncle, my moms brother is left and I would love to be able to share with him information about his great grandparents. Health issues have kept me from working as much as I would like on my tree here on Wikitree but I'm still here. If I can help in any way or if you have questions just message me here, send me an email or you can also find me on Ancestry. I love meeting family and have enjoyed my journey into the history of my family so far.

Hi Alicia!

I would love to although I'm not sure how much help I'm going to be. I'm stuck at my 3rd great grandparents. But I do know my 2nd great grandmother's haplogroup, H3k. Thank you for the invite!
