James was born on 26 December 1920 in Hiltons, Scott County, Virginia. He was the son of Luchen Byrd Taylor and Darling (McMurray Agner) Taylor.[1]

In 1935 according to 1940 census James (age about 14) was living in Fulkerson, Scott, Virginia.[3]

James served in the military on 9 December 1942.[4]

On 20 April 1999 James (age 78) was living in Smyrna, Virginia, USA.[5]

James died at the age of 78 on 20 April 1999 in Vanderbilt Hospital in Nashville, Tennessee.[6][4][7][5]

James was buried after 20 April 1999 in Brodhead, Rockcastle County, Kentucky. Poplar Grove Cemetery.[8]
