Daniel was born about 1882. He was the son of Alexander Taylor and Mary Spence.
In 1891, at age 7 (8 ?), Daniel is living at Waterside St, Taylor's Buildings, with his parents, Alexander age 57, Mary age 52, and with his siblings, Andrew age 23, Mary age 21, James age 17, Robert age 14, and Thomas age 12. They have a domestic servant, Margaret McMillan age 16.
In 1901, at age 18, Daniel is a Baker, living at 13 Bridge Street, with his widowed mother, and with his siblings, Thomas age 21, Mary age 30, Andrew age 33, and his married brother John age 36, John's wife Mary age 30 and their baby Jeanie C Taylor age 1.
Daniel passed away in 1933, at the age of 51, and he is buried in Strathaven cemetery with his wife Mary, and with her Aunt Isabella Watson (Aunt Bell).
