Biography

Betsy Taylor was born in 1787.

She married John Watmuff on 25 December 1807 in Cathedral and Collegiate Church of St Mary, St Denys and St George, now called Manchester Cathedral, Lancashire.[1]

J. H. Watmuff in his Journal, says, of her husband John Watmuff; "Married Betsy Taylor of Manchester, on X mas day Decr 25th at the Collegiate Church - there – She was born June 19th 1787 - Died April 19th 1837 at 6.45 pm - after living together 29 years 16 weeks & 3 days" [2]


All John and Betsy's children were born in Bourne, the last in 1823, he was about 59, she 36. She died 19th April 1837, exactlty 59 years and 10 months of age. It appears from badly ocr'd British Newspapers she died in Leicestershire. [3][4]
