1851 Census - Joseph (age 55), Agriculture Lab. residing at Brookes Cottage, Acton Grange, Cheshire, with his wife Sarah and son Thomas Taylor, (age 12) also William Andrews, Lodger born 1813 Walton, Cheshire, Lodger.
1861 Census - Joseph Taylor, Head of household (age 64), occupation Agricultural Lab. residing at Grange Green Cottages, Acton Grange, Cheshire, with his wife Sarah (age 62) and daughter Jane (age 25). Also William Andrews (45) boarder, Agricultural Lab. not married.
