Biography

  • Margaret was born 1904 on Ballynatrae Demesne, County Waterford to Mary (Carson) Taylor and Tommy Taylor, huntsman of the Coshmore Hunt, which had it's kennels at the Demesne. The birth was registered in Youghal, County Cork, which was the nearest town.[1]
  • Maggie Whilmina (sic) Taylor aged 7 was present 1911 census at parents' house in Dromore Street, Ballynahinch, County Down. Her father Tommy was now huntsman of the County Down Staghounds at nearby Montalto Demesne.[2]
  • Margaret Taylor married Robert Law, 19 Mar 1934, in St. Aidans Church of Ireland, Glenavy, County Antrim, N. Ireland.[3]
  • Margaret and husband Bob Law had Two children when they lived in Canning Street Belfast; Lily and Colin Law. When they moved to Derryaghy, County Antrim, Dorothy was born and the writer William or Will was born at Fourscore, Glenavy, County Antrim.[4]
  • Margaret died 8 Mar 1995 at the Braid Valley Hospital, Ballymena, County Antrim and was buried from her home in Crumlin to the Crumlin Cemetery, County Antrim.[5]
