Martha Atnip (known as Aunt Martha), Joseph's second wife, is still living with Reuen and family at the same time Joseph is now married to (3) Susan E. Jones and living with their family in Illinois. -- no explanation has been found yet to confirm the reason for this.

Reuben Kane has also been listed in records as Reuben Cain, Kain, Cane. Not sure which spelling  is correct.

There may have been another son named Vick Atnip who died young.
