From my research, Edward Teague Jr (this Edward's son, Teague-246) married Sarah Price and was the father of Moses Teague (1776-1845), Rebecca (Teague) Austin (1781-1849) and Isabella Teague (1785-1816). In the will of Edward Sr it lists his wife Peggy (i.e. Margaret) and her McDaniel kin. The will can be found at the Wills and Estate Papers (Chatham County), 1663-1978; Author: North Carolina. Division of Archives and History (Raleigh, North Carolina); Probate Place: Chatham, North Carolina, dated 1805. And, images can be found on numerous ancestry.com trees (see https://www.ancestry.com/family-tree/person/tree/80255916/person/42420674395/facts). Sarah Price Teague lived until around 1812, after Edward Sr died. Can you point me to the research showing Edward Jr was married to Sarah Price and the parents to Moses, Rebecca and Isabella? I want to either help sort out this profile or update my family research. Thanks!
Not sure if there are other sources but Teague history : pioneer settlers of Alexander County, N.C. Edward Teague, pioneer. Generations one to eight. William Teague, pioneer, and John Teague, pioneer.... on page 12 shows "Sarah _____ " as the only wife of Rev. Edward Teague and the mother of 5 of his children, so that may be one source. I'm not advocating that it is correct, as I don't know.
A merge has been proposed between Teague-170 and this profile Teague-2527. There are numerous souces supporting the existance of Teague-170 my 4th great uncle. Teague-2527 was created only 9-Oct 2018. The bio list a Bible and nothing more. I am incline to reject this proposed merge outright but in keeping with WT's premise encouraging collaboration, I will delay that action. Please add at least temporarily thew cover page of the Bible ans sow owner, date of creation and Teague lineage. Trufely I think 2527 us an unsourced profile. It does not list him as a Reverend which Teague-170 does. I will in coming month be adding that profile and will be using bother original sources. Teague-2527 and the 9 Oct prof lack either. Also not that many Teage are under a review of Arborist.
Teague-170 and Teague-2527 appear to represent the same person because: When building my family profiles, Teague 170 didnt pull up in my search. I found it when trying to add Edward Teague (Teague-9) as his father.
According to the official and well-researched History of Antioch Baptist Church in present-day Alexander County, which was the predecessor of the New Meeting Baptist Church the church was located in what was at the time Burke County and stood on the location of the Teague-Mundy Cemetery. Edward Teague was the founding pastor. The official history noted above will be available at https://CompetitiveStrategiew.us under the Foothills History tab.
