Biography
When John Randolph Teakell was born on May 31, 1846, in Rockford, Alabama, his father, John, was 24 and his mother, Nancy, was 18. He married Eliza Catherine Welch on October 17, 1869, in his hometown. They had 11 children in 18 years. He died on February 6, 1892, in Nocona, Texas, at the age of 45, and was buried in St Jo, Texas.
