Biography

Maria Luisa Tejeda, also known as Luisa Tejeda and Luisa T de Gallardo, was born on 28 Nov 1865 in Losoya, Bexar County, Texas. ^[1]She received her sacrament of Baptism on 24 Dec 1865 at St. Carmen Catholic Church, Losoya, Texas. Her parents are Pedro Tejeda and Concepcion Gil.^[2]

The 1880 United States Census cited Luisa Tegeda (Tejeda) as the daughter of Pedro Tegeda (Tejeda), head of household. She was 13 years old, her estimated birth year was 1867, and her birthplace was Texas. Event Date: 08 June 1880. Event Place: Precinct 4, Bexar County, Texas.^[3]

Luisa married Julian Gallardo on 29 May 1884 at St. Carmen Catholic Church, Losoya, Texas^[4]. From this union they had the following children:

The 1920 United States Census recorded S T Gallardo as the wife of J C Gallardo. She was 54 years old and born in Texas. Event date: 18 February 1920. Event Place: Martinez Road, Losoya, Bexar County, Texas. ^[6]

She passed away on 24 Jan 1929 in San Antonio, Bexar County, Texas, Marital status was widowed. Cause of death: Broncho pneumonia.^[7] She is buried at El Carmen Cemetery, 18555 Leal Rd., Losoya, Texas.^[8]
