Biography

Wilma “Dink” Hillman, 90, of Greensburg, passed away on November 24, 2015. She was born on August 21, 1925, in New Point, the daughter of Thomas and Clara (Koebbe) Tellas. As a young girl, sitting on her Dad’s lap listening to the radio show, “Hink and Dink” she looked to her dad and said you be Hink and I’ll be Dink, so thus was the name she was known by. Dink was a 1943 graduate of New Point High School. She was a homemaker and Avon Representative. Dink was a member of the St. Mary’s Catholic Church; she enjoyed watching the Cincinnati Reds, playing cards, and needle point. On January 27, 1951 she married John Hillman at the St. John’s Catholic Church in Enochsburg. Survivors include: Daughters- Rita (Gary) Phelps of Greensburg, Jane (Steve) Hockaden of Greensburg; Sons- Dennis (Connie) Hillman of Indianapolis, Larry (Cindy) Hillman of Pensacola, FL, Terrence Hillman of Greensburg; Grandchildren- Tammi Hillman, Tara Haley, Erin Phelps, Jenna Hillman, Christopher Hockaden, Natasha Hockaden; Great Grandchildren- Neleigha and Carhagin Haley. She was preceded in death by: Parents, Husband, Brothers- Charles “Art” Tellas and Thomas K. Tellas; Sister- Clara Irene Robbins. A Prayer Service for family and friends will be held on Friday, November 28, 2015 at 5:00 pm followed by visitation until 8:00 pm at the Gilliland Howe Funeral Home. Funeral Mass will be Saturday, November 28, 2015 at 11:00 am, with visitation one hour before, at the St. Mary’s Catholic Church. Father John Geis will be officiating. Burial will follow at the St. Mary’s Catholic Church Cemetery. Memorial contributions can be made to the Alzheimer’s Association or to the St. Mary’s Building Fund.
