Description
This Project Box is for use on profiles of descendants (born through 1776) of New Netherland settlers (note: settlers are defined as people who were in New Netherland before October 1674) that are managed by the New Netherland Settlers Project. This project box may be used on profiles of people born through 1776 who had New Netherland settler ancestors. The project box automatically adds the profile to the "New Netherland Descendants" category.
Profiles for descendants of New Netherland settlers who were born after 1776 may use the New Netherland Descendant Sticker instead of this project box. The sticker may also be used for profiles of people born before 1776 whose profiles are not deemed to need management by the project.
The sticker Low Dutch Kentucky is appropriate for New Netherland descendants who settled in "Low Dutch" communities in Kentucky.
The Project Box belongs on any profile managed by the project. Put the template above the == Biography == headline and below any categories or Research Note Boxes without any extra lines or hard returns. You can include a needs modifier to put the profile in a Project Needs maintenance category (see Parameters).
