Frank Tennsy was born on 26 August 1859 and died on 9 September 1935. [1] He was the son of Royal A Tenney (1834-1910) and Mary A. Mccormick (1846-1909).

Frank W. Tenny and Ida M. Abbott, both of Kalamazoo, Michigan, were married in Kalamazoo on 17 September 1884. He was age 24, a farmer, born in Saratoga County, New York. and she was age 16, born in Chicago, Illinois. Emily Abbott of Kalamazoo (Ida's mother) was one of the witnesses to the marriage, which was officiated by a justice of the peace.[2]
On 12 March 1889 Frank W. Tenney and Ida May were married for a second time, in Battle Creek, Michigan. The marriage record identifies the bride as Mary Abbott, age 20, daughter of Charles F. Abbott and Emily Douglass, born in Chicago, Illinois, occupation housekeeper. Frank was recorded as Frank W. Tenney, age 29, son of Royal M. Tenney and mother unknown, born in New York, occupation sireng(?) man. Both were residents of Battle Creek and had been married once before. The marriage was officiated by an S. D. A. minister.[3] This marriage ended before 16 December 1890, when Ida May married Orlando B. Stevens in Oshtemo, Michigan.
Frank W. Tenney married Josephine Pinkney (born 1872) on 30 May 1892 in Marshall, Calhoun County, Michigan. He was age 32, born in New York, a son of R. M. Tenney and Mary A. McCormick, and he worked as a "Pap Mach Tender." She was age 22, born in Michigan. Her father was recorded as "Allton" and her mother as maiden name "Burton." Both bride and groom were living in Battle Creek and said they had not been married previously. Their marriage was officiated by a Lutheran minister.[4] Their son Erastus Tenney was born in Battle Creek on 25 December 1898, recorded as the child of Frank W. Tenney, a laborer, born in New York, and Josephine Tenney, born in Michigan.[5]
The 1910 U.S. Census recorded Frank W. Tenney, age 50, wife Josephine Tenney, age 38, and son Erastus D. Tenney, age 10, in Battle Creek, Michigan. Frank was born in New York to a father born in the United States and a mother born in England. He was a laborer in the odd jobs business. He and Josephine had been married 18 years (second marriage for him, first marriage for her) and she had had two children, of whom one was living.[6]
Frank W. Tenney died in Marengo, Calhoun County, Michigan, on 9 September 1935. He was a widower.[1]
