Betty Marie (Tenney) Moak passed away at St. Peter's Hospital on January 1, 2018. Betty was born in Schenectady to the late Irving Robert Tenney and Lillian Jackson Tenney on October 22, 1925.Betty enjoyed her employment with the Walter Motor Truck Co. and the N.Y.S. Dormitory Authority. She was a charter member of the New Salem Fire Dept. Ladies Auxiliary and a member of the New Scotland Presbyterian Church.
Betty was predeceased by her husband, Robert H. Moak Sr. She is survived by seven children, Beverly Moak, Barbara Willey Kiouses (Michael), Bonnie Moak White Smith, Robert H. Moak Jr. (Paulette), Bradley Moak (Karen), Bruce Moak (Judy) and Barry Moak (Pam). She is also survived by nine grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren, three great-great-grandchildren; a brother Irving Robert Tenney; and a sister Virginia Greene.
Betty enjoyed early days in Laconia, N.H. with her husband and friends. She loved time with her grandchildren, great and great-great. In later years she had a passion to travel extensively, garden, landscape, crochet and watch wild life. Her time with friends in the auxiliary was a pleasure. At Betty's request there will be no calling hours or service. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that contributions be made to the New Scotland Presbyterian Church or the New Salem Fire Dept. Ladies Auxiliary.
