Biography
Gladys Emerson Tennison was born on March 2, 1918, in Shelby County, Tennessee. She was the daughter of David Winn Tennison and Gladys Musgrove. She married Alex Phillip Morrison on July 5, 1935, in Crittenden, Arkansas. They had two children during their marriage. She died on May 24, 2001, in Memphis, Tennessee, at the age of 83, and was buried there.

Gladys Nana Morrison, 83, of Memphis, homemaker, died of heart failure Thursday at her home. Services will be at noon Tuesday at Memphis Funeral Home Popular Chapel with burial in Elmwood.
She was a member of Speedway Terrace Baptist Church where she worked in the nursery and was a member of the Mothers of Unconditional Love Association.
Mrs. Morrison, the widow of Alex Morrison, leaves a daughter, Sue Warmack of Memphis; a son, Alex Morrison Jr. of Rossville, Tenn., four grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. The family requests memorials be sent to Speedway Baptist Church or St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
