Biography

A private in the Civil War. Co. C 1st regiment Indiana Heavy Artilley,under middle name Hezekiah. Buried in Terrell cem., Richland Township, Greene, Indiana. Went by the name Pete so he would not be confused with his father.

Margaret TERRELL was born February 10, 1826; died at the home of her daughter, Mrs. John MAXWELL, near Wild Cat School House, Saturday, December 29, 1906, aged seventy-nine years ten months and nineteen days. Her death resulted from pneumonia.

She was married to John H. TERRELL in 1843, and to this union were born ten children, five sons and five daughters, Mrs. MAXWELL, Albert TERRELL, Jot TERRELL, of Worthington; Mrs. Elisha HUGHES, of Bloomington; Wm R. TERRELL, of Montana; Thomas TERRELL and Mrs. George BOLTZ, of Bloomfield survive their mother.

Death claimed her companion about eight years ago. The funeral services were held Sunday morning, December 30, at 11 o’clock from the residence of John MAXWELL, conducted by Rev. N. W. STRICKLAND.
