Biography

Ada was born in 1894. She was the daughter of James Terrill and Rosa Borah. She passed away in 1975.

In the 1900 census for Denton Co., TX, James R. Terrill (b. Mar 1851 in MO) was head of a household. He was living with his wife Rosa A. (b. Sep 1853 in KY), son William H. (b. Apr 1875 in TX), son Carl J. (b. Apr 1884 in TX), daughter Eva S. (b. Jun 1889 in TX), daughter Ada B. (b. Aug 1892 in TX), boarder James R. Black (b. Jan 1872 in TN), and boarder John A. Black (b Mar 1874 in TN). James was a farmer and the two boarders were working as farm laborers.

James P. Terrell (age 59 and b. in MO) was head of a household in the 1910 census for Denton Co., TX. Living in the home were his wife Rosa L. (age 57 and b. in KY), daughter Ada B. Finlayson (age 17 and b. in TX), and son-in-law Lanie B. Finlayson (age 16 and b. in TX). James and Rosa had been married 37 years and had seven children, but only six were living in 1910. Lanie and Ada had been married a year and had no children.

F. E. Scott (age 46 and b. in MS) was head of a household in the 1940 census for Dallas Co., TX. He was living with his wife Ada (age 40 and b. in TX), son Russel E. (age 18 and b. in TX), and daughter Majorie L. (age 16 and b. in TX).
