James, son of John and Elizabeth, was baptised at Chipping Campden, Gloucestershire on 20 July 1817. [1]
He married Mary Unknown and they had one son.
In Dec 1843 James died suddenly, aged only 26, and was buried at Winchcombe, Gloucestershire on 18 Dec of that year. [2] His son Edwin, was baptised only a few days after the burial of his father. Edwin's record of baptism indicated that James was a blacksmith, a trade which was common in his family. [3]
