First wife was Josephine Corkey (1849-1895) daughter of Jonathan Odell Corkey and Elizabeth Aldridge. They had a child together, Delia M Corkey. Both are buried near John in his family plot at Wallkill Valley Cemetery.[1]
Second wife was Annie C. Evans, 4 Jun 1852 - 24 July 1924. Also buried at Wallkill Valley Cemetery near Walden.[2]
Military Service
John enlisted on September 2, 1864 at Goshen, New York, and was mustered in as a private in Company K, 124th New York Infantry. He mustered out with the regiment on June 3, 1865 at Washington, D.C.[3]
