Biography

Hazel Mildred Tesdell was born 9 February 1896 at Huxley, Iowa, the daughter of Oliver Tesdahl and Martha Johnson. She was baptized on 5 April 1896 and confirmed in 1910, both at the Palestine Lutheran Church in Huxley, Iowa. She graduated from Huxley High School and attended Drake University. Hazel married Leon Sabo on 16 January 1915. She did much dramatic work and operated a beauty shop for many years. Leon died on 20 January 1926. Interment was in the Maxwell Cemetery. Hazel married Ernest Willey on 27 August 1930 and had a beauty shop at Gilmore City, Iowa. He was a livestock buyer. Ernest died on 28 February 1957 and was interred at Beresford, South Dakota. Hazel died on 23 October 1982.
