Biography

A baptismal record has not been located for Fabien Tessier. He would have been born after his parents wedding July 12th 1847. His headstone gives a year of birth of 1865. An unsourced Ancestry profile gives a DOB of April 20th 1865 in Ste-Agathes-des-Monts. Ancestry person.

On August 1st 1887, in St-Faustin, Fabien Tessier, farmer, adult son of Pierre Tessier and Théotiste Dupras, married Eléonore Brunet, adult widow of Joseph Bouchard. All of this parish. Witnesses Arsène Brunet, father of the bride and Maxime Villeneuve, groom's beau-frère. Only the bride could sign.^[1][2]

Eléonore Brunet, died November 18th 1912 and Fabien Tessier remarried.^[3]

On April 24th 1924, in St-François-Régis, Lac-des-Écorces, Fabien Tessier, adult son of Pierre Tessier and Théotice Dupras, widower of Léonore Brunet, married Célina Légaré, adult daughter of Baptiste Légaré and Marie Lauzon, widow of Xavier Tessier. Both of this parish. They received dispensation for: "Premier degrée d'affinité en ligne collatérale égale", the exact meaning of this is not clear to me but I suspect it is related to the fact she was married to his brother. Witnesses Elzéar Brosseau and Théophile Tessier who both signed.^[4]

Fabien Tessier, husband of Célina Légaré, died January 15th 1931. He was interred in the parish cemetery of Lac-des-Écorces on January 19th 1931.^[5]
