Biography

Joseph Jean Baptiste Tessier was born on 16 Aug 1762 and was baptized the next day in Notre-Dame, Montréal. He was the son of Jean Baptiste Tessier and his wife Marguerite Bernard. Godparents at his baptism were Joseph Poitras and Geneviève Bernard (cousin of the infant). At age 23 Joseph Jean Baptiste married Marie Louise Boudrias on 3 Oct 1785 in Saintt-Laurent parish, Montréal. Joseph Jean Baptiste died at age 72 on 15 Dec 1833 and was buried two days later in Saint-Eustache parish cemetery, Bas-Canada.
