Biography

Louis Pierre (Tessier dite Lavigne) Tessier was born on February 22, 1783 in Châteauguay, Province de Québec, son of Jacques Tessier (1740–1812) and Marguerite Surette (~1744–1835).

His siblings were:

Louis (21) and Françoise (Viau) Boyer (19) were married on November 26, 1804 in Châteauguay, Bas-Canada. Françoise was born on June 24, 1785 in Lachine, Montréal, Province de Québec. She was the daughter of Nicolas Viau and Françoise Amable Lécuyer. Their known daughter was Catherine (Tessier dite Lavigne) Tessier (~1813–1892).
