On 23 Feb 1721 at Sainte-Trinité-de-Contrecoeur, Louis Tetrau, son of Joseph Tetrau and Anne Jarret, married Marguerite Fontaine, daughter of Pierre Fontaine and Marguerite Gentes. Present at the wedding were Jean Tetrau, Pierre Fontaine, Joseph Tetrau, Daniel Dehaies, Rene Monteil, Etienne Gentes.

Louis Tetrau died on the 23 March 1771 in Verchères. He was buried two days later, on 25 March 1771, in the church of Saint-François-Xavier-de-Verchères. Present at the burial were Pierre Damarrats, François Des Hantes, Baptiste Chagnon and many others.[2]
