Hi Bernd, I noticed this morning you've added several pre-1700 profiles using only the Gedbas database as your source. The Gedbas database appears to be composed of user-generated gedcom downloads, and according to WikiTree's pre-1700 policies is not a sufficient source.
Thank you, Bernd, for every one of your more than one thousand contributions to our Shared Tree during the month of September. The Appreciation Team honors you for all of your efforts.
I just saw your edit of Dieckhofs-1 and, unfortunately, just a link to Archion.de is not considered a source. Could you please tell what kind of church book, place and year at least so another researcher can check the source themselves?
Very well done on your making 1,000 or more contributions to WikiTree in June 2019! We commend and appreciate all of your time and effort in helping to grow and perfect our Shared Tree. Keep up the great work!
Thank you for all of the Wikitree work you are doing today. I notice however that you have worked on several profiles without showing the good source(s) of your information. As part of the Pre-1700 certification that you recently went through, sourcing was stressed.
In the help pages for Pre-1700, it states
A family tree on Geni, Ancestry, MyHeritage, Family Search, or any other user-generated tree (like WikiTree itself) is not a sufficient source for creating a pre-1700 profile. They may be valuable resources and may help you find original, reliable sources, but they must never be the only source. Geneanet trees would fall under the same category.
Please review the recent changes to Pre-1700 profiles you have made and try to find good sources.
This is a courtesy e-mail to see how things are going. Are you enjoying WikiTree so far?
Have the tips in the New Member How-Tos been helpful? Most of us still have some questions after reviewing them.

PS If you get a "Page Not Found" error when clicking WikiTree email links, you can often find a working version in the public comments on your profile.
PPS Did you discover that the tags on your profile are clickable links to a page of other people who have that tag? You can add more, up to 20 total.
How are you? I'm David a WikiTree Mentor. Thanks for adding profiles to WikiTree. There are reasons behind the eighth point in our Honor Code: "We cite sources. Without sources we can't objectively resolve conflicting information." A source provides a way to find out more about the person. Showing sources reduces confusion and duplicates.
Because pre-1700 ancestors are shared by many descendants, working within the projects which coordinate them is essential. You can learn more about joining the community in How To #3 and in the Project FAQ.
Use the Pre-1700 Projects list to find one which best fits your research focus, whether time period, location, or special event. Read the goals and tasks of the project and join if it is a good fit.
Let me know if you have trouble finding projects which fit your focus. Click my name, then ask in the comment section of my page.
Could your Heinrich Sander be the father of the Heinrich Sander on my tree (my 3rd great grandfather)? He was born 11 Nov 1826 in Klein Rhüden, Hannover, Kreis Gandersheim
Please review Cite Reliable Sources for help on this topic.
Thanks, Joyce Rivette

Here is what our Sources help page says. It has lots of ideas: http://www.wikitree.com/wiki/Sources
The Sources Style Guide shows how to enter sources in the biography.
And I'm here to help too, just ask!
