Biography

Rhodolphus Thacher, son of Rhodolphus and Ruth Thacher, was born at Duxbury, Massachusetts, on 2 January or 9 January 1677.^[1]

Rodolphus (or Ralph) Thacher b. 9 Jan 1677/8 at Duxbury, Massachusetts, son of Ralph or Rodolphus made his will at Lebanon Connecticut 9 Aug 1756 proven 6 August 1757; married (1) Patience Skiff, mother of his children and married (2) Deborah (Tracy) Bourne^[2]

Research Notes

A Thacher Pedigree published in NYGBR in 1916 has Rodolphus Thacher born at Duxbury 9 Jan 1677/8 marrying Patience Skiff in about 1711 at Tisbury, Martha's Vineyard, Mass. She was daughter of Nathan Skiff and Hepsibah Codman of Chilmark, Mass. She died before 2 December 1756. This same pedigree has a subsequent marriage by Rodolphus, to Deborah, (Tracy) Bourne, widow of Thomas Bourne, on or after 2 December 1756, presumably in Lebanon, Connecticut.^[3]
