Civil War (Union), Enlisted as Chaplain, November 3, 1863 at Mt. Sterling, Kentucky. Commission in Co. S, 45th Infantry Regiment Kentucky on February 3, 1864. Mustered out on December 24, 1864 at Catlettsburg, Kentucky. Wife Josephine applied for Elisha's Civil War Pension Benefits on September 1, 1910.
