Biography

Mary Ann (Thames) Coleman was first married to James Coleman b. circa 1804 in Georgia. They were married 1828 in Alabama. James died in Keago, Conecuh County, Alabama in 1840 (Month and day unknown).James and Mary had 8 children,their youngest, Jesse was born 12 June 1840. Mary then married James' brother Benjamin Coleman. Benjamin and Mary had 4 children.

Benjamin and Mary moved to Louisiana, settling in Prospect Community where they built a house and lived until their deaths.
