excerpt from her obituary: (written by her daughter and used by her permission) "She graduated from Vassar College in 1943, received a Masters in chemistry from Rutgers University in 1944, and worked as a biochemist at Harvard Medical School.
Trudi married George Leidy Beyer in 1946, and they moved to Rochester, N.Y., where he worked at Kodak. She did research at the University of Rochester Medical School until they started their family in Webster.
Trudi will be remembered for bringing flowers she grew and homemade cakes and cookies to her many friends. She and George were early organic gardeners, freezing and canning their vegetables and fruits. She amazed everyone with her remarkable memory, and her knowledge of history and art enriched their trips all over the world. Trudi was active in many community activities, including for over 40 years at the Women's Council and as a docent at the Memorial Art Gallery. She volunteered at Baden Street, the League of Women Voters, the Vassar Club, and served as a trustee of Third Presbyterian Church; she was also an avid bridge player."
