Biography
Rachel Tharp was born in 1821. Her parents were John Tharp and Hila Jane Leonard.
She married Charles Carter on April 16, 1840, in Perry County, Ohio. They had seven children:

- Mary Carter
- Margaret Carter
- James Carter
- Charles Carter
- William Carter
- Thomas Wallace Carter
Rachel died on December 22, 1958. She is buried at First Baptist Church Cemetery in Oakfield, Ohio.
