Biography

Margaret Tharp was born in 1829 in Boyle County, Kentucky. She was the daughter of John Allen Tharp & Nancy Chinesa Elliott.

Margaret Tharp married Alexander C. Harmon married on October 8, 1846 in Sullivan County, Missouri. He was the son of Jacob Harmon and Elizabeth Pipes.

In September, 1850, Alexander C. Harmon & Margaret Tharp were farming in Pleasant Hill Township, Sullivan County, Missouri. They had one child:

  • Mary Josephine Harmon (1829-1904)
