Research Note

This marriage record was previously assigned to Nathaniel Thayer III of Taunton but has now been deleted there. The two marriage records from FamilySearch are clearly referencing the same event. One is an index only, the other has associated images. The image is the record of marriage information being transferred from Wrentham to other towns, in particular:

Research Notes

This profile was originally attached as the father of Anne (last name unconfirmed), wife of David Horton. As there is very little evidence that his Anne's last name at birth was Thayer,^[3] the profile was disconnected. Some online trees have proposed that Anne was a daughter of Nathaniel Thayer of Taunton, and Rebecca Briggs, without evidence. And as there is not reason to believe Nathaniel ever lived in Connecticut has been disproven. The individual facts in this profile do not match Nathaniel of Taunton, either. Original info:

Date of death 28 Mar 1728 matches the date of death for Nathaniel Thayer in Braintree.
