My ancestors are from Victoria, Australia and Java, Indonesia; their ancestors migrated from England, Scotland, Ireland, Wales, and China in the 1840s and 1850s.
I was born in the Flemish town of Leuven, Belgium, and am a first generation New Zealander. Interestingly, my Scottish great-great-great grandparents arrived in Auckland in 1842, where my great-great grandfather was born... however, the family only stayed for four years, leaving in 1846 for the Victorian goldfields.
Many of the profiles I manage and work on are not my relatives. If they are your relatives, please get in touch. I am happy to add or amend any details. I am also more than happy to turn over profiles to interested descendants.
To aid WikiTree in the administration of my account should I be incapacitated, or in the event of my death, I hereby give permission for all open profiles I manage to be orphaned so that they can be cared for by any WikiTreer who is interested.

It's time for our annual Australia Project membership checkin. Thank you so much for your involvement in the Project in the last year and for all your help improving Australian profiles on WikiTree. Australia Project members play such a vital role in Australian genealogy on WikiTree.
Please could you reply to this profile comment (don't add a new comment!), or send me a private message to let us know if you'd like to stay on in the Project, and to let us know what you plan to work on for the next year, and if you would like to change any of the teams you are on. Our teams are listed on Australia Project Teams.
We know that people move on to new things, so if you no longer want to be in the Australia Project, please let us know so that we can remove you from the membership list.
Many Australia Project members are active on Discord. It's a great way to communicate with other members of your project team/s, or to ask any general questions. If you're not on Discord yet, here's some information - Help:Discord. If you are already on the WikiTree Discord server, let us know, and we can send you an invite link to the dedicated Australia Project server (WikiAustralia) where all our chat channels are located. We also communicate through the Australia Project google group, and on the G2G.
We're always happy to receive any ideas or suggestions that you have to make our project even better.
Looking forward to hearing from you!
The Australia Project Leadership Team ~ Gillian, Kylie, Margaret and Veronica
Thanks for the message about the McKenzie family, actioned.
The New Zealand Project is being re-activated. Would you still like to be a member and have a badge? If so, please answer this post or message me. I’ll add your badge and also send you the link to the Kiwi Crew Discord server. There is no obligation to take part in challenges, but you may like to work with others to create quality New Zealand profiles. We’re a really friendly bunch.
Ngā mihi
Fiona New Zealand Project Co-ordinator (Membership)
Thanks for your message. Count me in.
Hi Monika,
A group of Kiwis participate in Wiki-Thons four times a year, and we have one coming up in July, I would like to invite you to join the KiwiCrew in the upcoming Connect-A-Thon. Participation is easy, simply create new profiles for unconnected people and with luck, they will connect with the World Tree.
Simply post an answer on this Post saying "Yes, I'd like to participate with the KiwiCrew". Once registered, you will receive your Connect-a-Thon badge.
For more information, view the Kiwi Crew Team page
Happy WikiTreeing, Campbell
