Biography

Paul was born and baptized on June 29, 1838, as recorded in the Barachois register. He is the son of Clément Thériot and Anne Arseneau. Godparents were Hilaire LeBlanc and Bibiane Theriot.

Paul and his family are listed in the 1881 census of New Brunswick as follows:

Theriot Pol 44; Theriot Nathalie 45; Theriot Edmond 4; Boudreau Andre 21; Boudreau Antoine 19 and Boudreau Dolphee 14.

Paul died on April 4, 1893, and his funeral service was held two days later, as recorded in the Barachois church register. He was husband of Nathalie Leger. He was 58 years old. Witnesses were Calixte C Leger, Ben Boudreau, Camille Cormier and Albert Leger. There is a discrepancy of about 3 years in the age reported here since he was born in 1838.
