Biography

Magdeleine was born in 1805, the daughter of Paul Thibodeau and Madeleine Cormier. She married Jean Francois Michaud at age 19 in New Brunswick. Her husband moved the family to the US by 1833, first to Maine, then Massachusetts before settling in Michigan, where it seems she spent the rest of her life.

Thibodeau-1825 and Thibodeau-1494 do not represent the same person because: Madeleine Thibodeau and Magdeleine are twins and there names are not variations of the same name

Re: Thibodeau-125I & 1494 twins. Have no idea who those women are. Suggest we drop this project until we have more information, RGH

Hi, Roger! Me again. Could you tell me where you got the name Madeleine from? I've searched several records and can't find one. Also, Madeleine and Magdeleine were often interchanged during this time period. Later, Magdeleine was called Ellen. Go figure. Thanks for your help. Karen

Thibodeau-1494 and Thibodeau-1825 do not represent the same person because: The two people are totally different and cannot possibly be merged.

When comparing profiles, it is absolutely necessary to check the name first, then the birth date, then scrutinize the other data such as place of birth or death, name of spouse and birthdate.

If you do what I outline above you will learn that even thought the they have the same father and the same year of birth, they do not have the same name: 1825 is Madeleine but 1494 is Magdeleine--two different names = not identical. Also Madeleine has never married, had children and we don't have a date of death for her. These profiles are obviously not the same person.

I look forward to working with you in the future to clean up the profile conflicts. RGH
