In 1861 Robert Thompson, a writing Clerk, of Belfast, father Robert Thompson, farmer, married Susanna Thomas, of Belfast, father Edward Thomas, Mechanic, at St Anne’s Church, Belfast. The witnesses were Edward Thomas and Isabella Thompson. [1]
In 1901 the Thompson family were living in Drumbeg, Co Down, Robert Thompson, 63, Flax spinner& Linen Manufactorer, born Co Down, with his wife Susanna, 58, and their children, Edward 32, salesman, Annie B 26, John 24, medical student, May H 22, Lilian 20, S. Herbert 15, scholar. All were born in Belfast apart from Robert and Herbert who were born in Co Down. There was also a visitor Maria Rice, over 40, born Belfast and 5 servants. [2]
Susannah died in 1936, and is buried in Belfast City Cemetery. [3]
