Biography

Ida Thomas was born at Sherry River near Nelson, New Zealand. Her father was farmer William Thomas and her mother Elizabeth Buckman. ^[1]

Ida married Walter Hill, also from Nelson, in 1907.^[2]

She and Walter had seven children: Donald, Phyllis, Vera, Joyce, Grace, Joe and Ken. ^{[3] [4] [5] [6]}

Ida died in 1956 aged 70. ^[7]

She is buried in Richmond Cemetery.
