Biography

In the 1860 US Census there is John Thomas born about 1788 in Pennsylvania living in Roanoke, Woodford, Illinois. This would seem to fit the information for this man. Living with him are probably his son, daughter-in-law and grandchildren, (but relationships are not indicated):

My name is John Thomas, and I am trying to find my earlier Thomas ancestors. My great-grandfather (John) David Thomas, born about 1819, lived in Upper Dickinson Township, Cumberland Country, Pa., and was a farmer. His wife's name was Susanna Snyder.
