I've been doing genealogy for 20+ years and got serious about it when my mother passed away in 2001. I love what I do and hope to leave my research to my grandson. I have 4 grown children, 2 stepsons, and 16 grandchildren...mostly boys! Twins run heavy in our family, having 6 sets in 6 generations and skipping 1 generation. Two generations each had 2 sets of twins.
I believe that anyone who is named ICE, is related to me, somehow. I am working with family researchers to document this. I descend from Frederick Ten Eyck who came from Holland.
On my father's side, I descend from Michael Thomas of Germanna 2nd Colony in 1717, and Albrecht Thoma.
I also research names marrying into the family if they are in direct line with my pedigree...Dunlap, Smith, Tinder, Slaughter, Cook, Collins, Whiteman, Atha/Athy/Athey, Burge, Parker and others.

I would like to suggest you edit your tags and have only a surname in each tag. We do not use first or middle names in tags.
When you list a surname, location or historical event in your tags, you can then click them and see a list of other WikiTree genealogists who are also researching those names, locations, etc.
You'll also get notifications in your daily & weekly emails when there is activity relevant to your tags.
Information on Tags can be found at http://www.wikitree.com/wiki/Tags
Have a look at my profile page by clicking my name above to see what tags and tag comments look like.
Please let me know if you have any questions! :-)

A warm welcome to WikiTree. You are now a full member and can add your family to the big tree!
Click here to start with our New Member How-To Pages. They will save you time, energy and frustration as you add your family profiles.
Hope you enjoy WikiTree as much as I have. You never know when you will find a lost family member or ancestor. Or maybe find a hidden family secret about an ancestor. Genealogy to me is like being a detective looking for clues into the past.
Sometimes links don't work in emails. If that's happened to you, check the public comments on your profile as the links will work from there.
Please let me know if you have any questions. I'm always happy to help!

Just checking in with a few quick tips:
Free Space pages are wiki pages for supplementing your family history. They can be used to profile anything of significance such as a special pet, a meaningful event, a school you attended, a family heirloom .... They're "anything pages".
Lastly, sometimes you'll run into unresponsive profile managers. We have a process for resolving those unfortunate situations.
If you have any questions, please ask!
