John died in 1805. [9]. As his previous date of death of 1782 meant that he died before several of his children were born, I have amended the death date.

John Thomas, born 26th August, 1743; died 3d February, 1805; married 23d August, 1777, Sarah Murray, daughter of Dr. William Murray.[10]

Absolutely agree- two different families

I feel these are 2 separate families, the sources for marriages show one and the date is only 2 years after the first one and the first one shows children of the first marriage born after the date of the 2nd marriage also the locations of the families one is from Somerset County which is on the Eastern shore of Maryland the other is Anne Arundel County which is on the western shore of Maryland another issue childern of the second family with birth dates before the 2nd marriage I would like to someone that has the time and resources look into this family more
