William Oswald Thomas was born on 2nd January 1871 in Sebastopol, Victoria (Australia). He was the third and youngest surviving son of Welsh emigrants Lodwick Thomas and Mary John. [1] He was christened in Sebastopol Congregationalist Church by Reverend David Davies.
The family moved to Queensland, to Main Road, Lutwyche, in 1886. William's parents both passed away within six years.
William married Amelia Mainz on 2nd October 1911 in Brisbane, Queensland. [2] They had two children before moving to Atherton, North Queensland about 1925.
Aged 76 years, he passed away on 23rd August 1947 in North Queensland, [3] survived by Millie and their children.
