DNA Connections
It may be possible to confirm family relationships by comparing test results with Penny or other carriers of her ancestors' mitochondrial DNA.
Mitochondrial DNA test-takers in the direct maternal line:
T. Stanton has detached Charlotte DeMoss Greer from Phoebe Cox and James DeMoss, the Bellevue DeMoss family for what he says is lack of evidence. It would be a good idea to encourage the other Charlotte mtDNA testers to upload their gedmatch test kit on WikiTree and build their tree out to Charolotte so we can send this issue to G2G. I encourage all of you to post what documentation there is on Charlotte in the meantime. I will be happy to provide any information from the DeMoss DNA Project to resolve this.
Thanks for joining us! I hope you're enjoying our site. I just wanted to check in and see how things are going. Do you have any questions I can answer?

You've been a member for about a week so I thought I would check in to see how it's going. Have the How-Tos been helpful or left you with questions? Most of us have questions after all that information!
I want to help! Click my name, send me a private message or ask in the comment section of my page. Sometimes links don't work in emails. If that's happened to you, check the public comments on your profile. The links will work from there.

PS To find reliable sources for your profiles, go to the Family Tree & Tools tab; select Genealogy Research and scroll down near the bottom of that list and select Research with RootsSearch. There are over 20 websites to access from there.
Thank you for self-certifying for the Pre-1700 badge! Participation in a Pre-1700 Project is strongly encouraged for those wishing to edit Pre-1700 profiles. Collaboration is essential because pre-1700 ancestors are shared by many descendants.
Because you are a descendant of a PGM migrant, it looks like Puritan Great Migration
would be a good fit. Changing your tag to Puritan Great Migration will help you get updates about activity for that project.
Do you have any questions? Let me know. I'm happy to help! :-)
A warm welcome to WikiTree. You are now a full member and can add your family to the big tree!
Click here to start with our New Member How-To Pages. They will save you time, energy and frustration as you add your family profiles.
Hope you enjoy WikiTree as much as I have. You never know when you will find a lost family member or ancestor. Or maybe find a hidden family secret about an ancestor. Genealogy to me is like being a detective looking for clues into the past.
Sometimes links don't work in emails. If that's happened to you, check the public comments on your profile as the links will work from there.
Please let me know if you have any questions. I'm always happy to help!
