The death of Mrs Jane Yen, at the age of 60 years, took place at the residence of
her husband, Mr C. J. Yen, storekeeper of Adaminaby, on Wednesday last; due to
injuries caused by a recent fall of 14 feet from a platform. The late Mrs Yen was a twin sister of Mrs Booshang, and had lived at Adaminaby all her life. She was born at Buckenderra, and was a daughter of Mr T. Thomas, a grazier of that district. Her family consisted of two daughters, and four sons, residents of Adaminaby. The funeral took place on Thursday, the Very Rev. Dean Norris, conducting the service, and was largely attended, numerous wreaths being placed on the coffin as tributes from friends who deeply regretted the loss of one whose charitable disposition was an outstanding feature.
