Biography
Mary Ellen Thomas, daughter of Mahala Jane Thomas, was born 19 July 1863 in Hopkins County, Kentucky. [1] [2] [3] Her grandparents were David Henry Thomas and Mary "Polly" Dawson (Hanks) Thomas.
In 1870, she lived in Hopkins County with her mother Mahala, grandmother Mary, aunts and uncle. [1]
On 2 December 1879 in Hopkins County, she married Orlando Reuben Davis. in 1880, she and husband Orlando lived with her mother Mahala and aunt Hester. [2] By 1900, she still lived in Hopkins County, Kentucky with husband Orlando and their nine children. [3]
