John Thomas was born in Pennsylvania in 1854, the son of William and Mary Ann (Evans) Thomas,[1] both born in Wales.
In the 1880, U.S. census, John is living on Hazel St. in Wilkes Barre, Luzerne, PA with his wife Addie, 2-year old daughter Mary E and 3-month old son Henry. [2]
In the 1900 census, John and Addie are living on Stanton St. in Wilkes-Barre, PA with their children Harry (William Henry), Ella (Ellen) and Jewel. John is working as a railroad flag man and Harry as a boiler maker. [3]
John passed away in 1909 having died as a result of a mining accident.[4]
