Captain Robert Thomas was born about 1747. He was the son of Col. John Thomas Sr. and brother of Col. John Thomas Jr., both Patriots. He married Martha Hanna about 1771. He passed away in 1781 in a skirmish at Mud Lick Creek in Ninety Six District during the Revolutionary War. [1]
