Rosa Thomas was born about 1869[1] in Kentucky[1]. She was the child[1] of Sophia Gibson, the wife of Frank Blunt, and the niece of Civil War veteran William Gibson who served with the famous 54th Massachusetts Volunteer Infantry under the alias John Saunders.
