Bob was born in 1883 in the Chickasaw Nation, Indian Territory, son of Isaac Thomas and Mary Wilson.
Bob was living in a orphans home in 1902 according to his step father, George T Wilson.[2]
On 28 April 1903, James C. McCurtain was appointed Guardian for Bob Thomas and Alice Corbert[3].
