Biography

Richard was born in Mountfield, Sussex, England^[1] to Richard Thomas and Philadelphia Philcox. He was baptized on 22 May 1790 in Sussex.^[2] On 20 October 1815, Robert married Sophia Sellens in Mountfield. He continued to live in Mountfield until at least 1871 where he was an agricultural labourer.
